About Us

In 1989, my father started R.J.Delaney and Son’s. In 2005, I took over the business and changed the name to P. J. Delaney and Son’s. Prior to starting the business, my father drove a concrete truck for Welsh for over 30 years and I was a union iron worker. Although I was an ironworker, I was never far from the business and I was always helping him out on different jobs. So, when my father was ready to slow down, taking over his business was an inevitability waiting to happen. ( R.J. does about half of my bidding so he is still very active with the business. )

We have been surrounded by the construction and concrete field for over 40 years. We have seen a lot of different jobs and know what materials ( products ) work and what doesn’t. In the last 10 years, the advances in colored concrete, stamping, overlays and acid stains has exploded in the Midwest. So, with experienced help and lots of practice, we are able to expand in these areas.
